“The danger of heavy rain showers and thunderstorms increases significantly in the afternoon. These are most likely in the Innviertel and in the southern mountains,” says Liliane Hofer from the Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics (ZAMG). It stays warm with maximum temperatures around 27 degrees.
More thunderstorms, some with strong winds, are possible overnight. The day then proceeds changeably. “Rain is possible in the morning, in the afternoon it should be dry and sunny at times in the lowlands with maximum temperatures of 24 degrees,” says Hofer. Strong winds are expected in the eastern half of the country.

A mix of clouds and sun awaits us on Wednesday. “The temperatures are between 20 and 25 degrees, it remains largely dry.” Thursday is likely to be the nicest day of the week. “It looks like a sunny bathing day with temperatures up to 28 degrees,” says Hofer. Friday will also be sunny with maximum values of up to 30 degrees. At the weekend it will be unstable again with sometimes heavy thunderstorms.
