This is how Boris Becker is doing in prison

According to his long-time lawyer Christian-Oliver Moser, the ex-tennis professional Boris Becker, who was imprisoned in London, is doing well under the circumstances. “He didn’t complain, he doesn’t complain. Of course the situation isn’t nice, but he accepts it,” Moser told RTL in a TV interview published on Friday. The lawyer denied rumors that Becker complained about the food in prison or even pressed an emergency button.

Rumors that the 54-year-old has been transferred to a “comfort wing” at Wandsworth Prison in south London are also untrue, the lawyer said. Becker only changed the cell once.

London’s maximum security prison is notorious for its overcrowding and poor conditions. Moser stated that he coordinated with Becker before the interview and that he had “first-hand” information.

Becker was sentenced to two and a half years in prison in London at the end of April and is currently being held in a prison in the British capital. According to the verdict, he had concealed assets worth millions from his insolvency administrators.
