“Our students dare to try something, they don’t create paper tigers,” said director Walter Jungwirth proudly. Not without reason. The projects presented are all impressive: A sheet metal manipulator was presented, as was a processing center for wooden boards and a compressed air leak test station. A rebar bar manipulator and a washing system for crushed PET cups could also be seen. Another group has developed an app for fire brigade operations management or written software that makes it easier to plan parent-teacher meetings. The tarpaulin washing for a tent rental company was also automated, and a method for identifying soccer players during a game was developed. Particularly interesting: A group equipped a moped from 1969 with an electric motor.
It was therefore not easy for the independent jury to filter out the best projects and honor them as “Best of Session”. And State Secretary Claudia Plakolm was also impressed by the achievements during her visit to the school. By the way, for the next year there are already many inquiries from companies, mostly from the region, who want to realize projects with the high school graduates of the HTL Neufelden.
