Students from Linz recreated works of art

An additional attraction of the exhibition and book project: the young people were able to deal intensively with works of art.

For the “Museo” project, the 14 to 16-year-olds from 14 nations chose 18 works of art from the Linz Castle Museum in order to analyze them at school and then recreate them with the photographer Zoe Goldstein. In these reenactments, called “tableaux vivants”, costumes, the design of the surroundings and accessories were deliberately avoided, because the aim was to create portraits of the students involved, which put the young people in the spotlight.

The exhibition “Tableaux vivants – A school of empathy” will show whether this was successful. It will open on May 25 at 6 p.m. It can be seen until October.
