“Wos United” dedicates a charity concert to Ukraine

On this evening, four bands from the region will perform and dedicate their music to those who are particularly suffering from the war in Ukraine. “The proceeds from admission to the charity event will go to the association ‘Support Ukraine Now Upper Austria’, which is organized by Thomas Brunner from Upper Austria,” says organizer Ulli Wurpes. The organizers are expecting a donation of more than 10,000 euros, which will go towards caring for the newcomers from Ukraine.

Highlight: Ukrainian ballad

A particularly emotional moment of the evening will be the appearance of the 17-year-old Ukrainian Alevtina, who sings the ballad “1944” – with this song Ukraine won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2016.

In addition to the charitable commitment, it is important to Wurpes to get local bands on stage. The musicians from Zimmer3, Michaela Schausberger and Christian Kapun, present their own compositions together with singer Anja Sodnikar (known under the name SodL), combined with stories from life.

With the band Sankt Krinzinger, a young band from the local blues scene performs and presents passionate dialect blues from Upper Austria and Vienna. The Eferdinger formation Chili con Carmen combines different musical styles and the Wels band Forest Lane combines organ and guitar with harmony singing and female saxophone power.

Alex Springer and the Black Horse are responsible for the culinary delights. Tickets are available at kupfticket.at and in advance booking offices. (cape)
