New rain of prizes for controversial Linz video

Not only did the video and its campaign get a lot of clicks, there have also been six more awards since last week. The Forafilm team was delighted to receive the Creativ Club Austria Venus Award in four categories, and the Prix Victoria was awarded twice at the International Business Film Days.

“That’s an honor for us, the awards are an important confirmation of our work,” says Sinisa Vidovic, who directed the controversial Linz tourism video together with his colleague Dinko Draganovic. Standing out from the crowd was also the aim of the team when it came to designing a case video for submission to the CCA. “We wanted to do it with the same humor as in the ‘Linz ist Linz’ video, it should be bold,” says Vidovic.

In practice, this resulted in a two-minute clip in which there is also a reunion with one of the protagonists from the Linz video – the grumpy man from the park. Embedded in excerpts from the television reports, he talks (satirically) about the objectives, the concept and the success of the video and also about the fact that many “ad fuzzies” have come to the scene.
