Linz Triathlon: “Everything as before”

Just over 1000 registrations in all competitions (sprint, Olympic and half-distance) allow OC boss Peter Weinzierl from the organizer TriRun Linz to say that “everything will be like before”. This not only refers to the number of participants, but above all to the fact that the Linz Triathlon will again be a family celebration for the participants from the region and neighboring countries.

Weinzierl is pleased that the (corona-related) reluctance of the athletes is no longer noticeable, and that more than 1000 athletes will be active at the comeback of the Linz Triathlon with start and finish at Pleschinger See.

In addition to the triathlon competitions this year, the aquabike competition is new, combining swimming (1.9 kilometers) and cycling (82 kilometers). After the transition zone, the participants only run about 400 meters to the finish, where the final time is taken.

This competition starts with the half-distance at 12 noon. The sprint competition starts at 9.30 a.m., the triathlon over the Olympic distance starts at 12.45 p.m. As usual, there are relay competitions again.

Last-minute decision-makers who still want to take part in one of the competitions can nominate themselves on site on May 27th and 28th. All information at www.linztriathlon.at
