A pedestrian was run over by a truck at around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Mozartstrasse and Dinghoferstrasse. She suffered such serious injuries that she died at the scene of the accident, the police said on Tuesday afternoon.
The 69-year-old had crossed Mozartstraße via the protective path in the direction of Untere Donaulände and was probably overlooked by the truck driver, who wanted to turn right from Dinghoferstraße onto Mozartstraße with his heavy vehicle.
Police are asking for information
The driver was only made aware of the accident by witnesses. When he stopped, he noticed that the pedestrian had gotten under the semi-trailer. The police were quickly at the scene of the accident and immediately called the emergency services and an ambulance. But the doctors could not save the woman’s life. She succumbed to her serious injuries at the scene of the accident.
