Two paediatricians for Trauner district center

Two paediatricians for Trauner district center

While Linz is desperately looking for paediatricians, the team at the new primary care center in Traun, headed by project initiator Johann Jagersberger, has already struck gold.

With Lydia Obernosterer and Thomas Hofer, the six general practitioners were able to win two specialists in paediatrics for their collaboration. The medical team is now complete and is supported by medical professionals (speech therapy, physiotherapy, etc.). The PVZ will be opened in the new health and district center Weidfeld in Traun/St. Dionyses can be found (we have reported several times) in January 2023.

Obernosterer has completed numerous further training courses in the field of pediatric infectiology, pediatric pneumology and allergology. Like Hofer, the 45-year-old works at the Wels-Grieskirchen clinic. The 38-year-old is an expert on diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and the liver in children. He also looks after the children’s gastroenterology outpatient clinic in the clinic, which he will probably continue to do one day a week.

Obernosterer emphasizes the interdisciplinary exchange and the short distances as great advantages of a PVZ. For Hofer, this is a contact point where children and their families can be fully supported with all health issues.
