From Friday afternoon rain showers and thunderstorms will spread again, after temperatures of up to 28 degrees only maximum values of around 20 degrees are to be expected at the weekend. On Tuesday, the last day of the month, temperatures will rise again, but rain is to be expected again, the Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics (ZAMG) forecast on Thursday.
On Friday sunny weather will prevail for a long time. The cumulus clouds only become denser in the afternoon, and the risk of showers and thunderstorms increases, especially in the south and south-east. Dense cloud fields of a fault zone only reach the north from the late afternoon and in the evening. With this, rain showers will spread from the northwest from the evening hours. The early temperatures are eight to 15 degrees, the maximum values 21 to 28 degrees.
On Saturday there is a fault zone across Austria. With this mostly dense clouds predominate in the west and south and at times rain is to be expected. At first it rains a little, especially on the north side of the Alps, during the course of the day the risk of showers increases more in the south and south-east. In Upper and Lower Austria, on the other hand, away from the mountains, it often stays dry and the sun shines here at times. After eight to 15 degrees at the beginning of the day, 15 to 22 degrees are expected in the course of the day.
On Sunday the skies in the south and south-east are often initially cloudy with intermittent rain. In the course of the afternoon the rain stops here and the clouds slowly loosen up. In the rest of Austria, the sun is shining, at least temporarily. From late morning some cumulus clouds will form, bringing a few rain showers. From the late afternoon, the showers will become less frequent again. Temperatures range from four to 13 degrees in the morning and twelve to 20 degrees in the afternoon.
On Monday the sun is shining, at least for a while. During the course of the day clouds will pass from the west, with a few rain showers to be expected. It is most likely to stay dry in the flatlands of the east and partly in the south. In the evening the weather calms down again. The early temperatures are between one and ten degrees, the afternoon values between 13 and 21 degrees.
Until Tuesday morning sometimes the sun shows up. Then the clouds will become denser from the west and a few rain showers are to be expected. Thunderstorms are possible locally. It is most likely to remain dry in the south-east, where the sun shines the longest. The lows are three to eleven degrees, the daily highs 19 to 27 degrees.
