Finally again! Altaussee Kiritag beer tent with a new team

One of the most popular and best-attended events in the Salzkammergut could not take place twice (2020 and 2021) due to the corona pandemic – but this year, finally, nothing should stand in the way of holding the Altaussee Kiritag beer tent, and under a new leadership, as long-time beer tent boss Werner Fischer put his office in younger hands.

Werner’s son, fire brigade commander Christian Fischer, as well as Helmut Haidvogl, Andreas Pürcher and Martin Margotti share the agendas in organizing the popular and well-known festival, as is traditional on the first weekend in September every year – this year from Saturday, 3rd to Monday, 5th September.

It will open on Saturday at 12 p.m., at 1 p.m. the Anthering band from Salzburg’s Flachgau will march from the Rüsthaus into the beer tent as a guest troupe, followed by the opening by Mayor Gerald Loitzl and the fire brigade command. Sepp Reich from the Styrian community of Ramsau am Dachstein will present the program.

Sunday, which is known as a family day – there is also a Kiri day between the beer tent and the church – is started by the Altaussee beer tent music with a morning pint. The Lupitscher Musikanten will perform the evening program together with the well-known Sepp Fürthauer from Steinbach am Attersee. The Monday on which the companies have lunch together with their employees and guests from all parts of Austria take the day off to celebrate “Blue Monday” is considered unique. Many guests from sports, business, art and politics come together and mingle with the people. It sometimes happens that you drink your Gösser-halbe (brewed under license in Lienz/Osttirol, by the way) next to Hannes Androsch or Klaus Maria Brandauer. Conclusion: an extraordinary festival.
