The co-working space there was officially opened as part of a general assembly of Technologiezentrum Mondseeland GmbH. The idea behind it: Not everyone needs a complete office for themselves. It’s a lot easier to rent a desk in a shared office (maybe even just by the day). This not only saves infrastructure and rental costs, but also brings other advantages.

From now on, the self-employed in Mondsee can convince themselves of the advantages that co-working offers in a free test operation. This form of work is interesting for several target groups. For example, commuters can save travel time and costs and also make a contribution to climate protection. For people in the home office, the shared office is a welcome change in everyday work. Start-ups in particular benefit. Business start-ups are to be specifically promoted and facilitated with the project. This also includes regular start-up advice from the Chamber of Commerce. Those responsible know that it is often small, smart start-ups that later become successful businesses with growth potential. The Mondsee “village office” should prove that a lot is possible in the country.
The Mondseeland Technology Center was built in 2008 and has been considered an important source of inspiration in the region ever since. The promotion of business start-ups and regional technology developments as well as the networking of business enterprises are just some of the areas that the technology center has successfully supported since its inception. With the co-working office, another initiative to improve the attractiveness of the regional location has now been launched. The project was developed together with the LEADER region FUMO.
