200 national and international exhibitors will present the latest trends in equestrian sports to visitors until Sunday.
There is also a rich program of events. “We don’t just want to provide information, we also want to offer visitors a great experience all about horses,” says the responsible project manager Christine Wimmer from Messe Wels.
The big highlight is the “Night of the Horses” gala, where national and international stars of the show rider scene show their skills. The show with light effects, comedic interludes and spectacular tricks takes place in the evening tonight, tomorrow there will be a Sunday matinee especially for families.
The sporting highlight is the vaulting tournament. Participants from youngsters to the highest class S compete today in several competitions in show hall 6 in gymnastic and acrobatic exercises on the back of their horses. “We look forward to highly motivated athletes who undertake intensive training in order to present a perfect performance to the spectators,” says Petra Leingartner from the management team at Messe Wels.
As is to be expected at a horse fair, there will also be sales and breeding shows this evening and tomorrow morning. And at the information events, experts will answer questions from visitors in rounds of questions.
