A 24-year-old woman and a man of the same age from Pongau, who were sitting in their car, were slightly injured. Two Iraqi men who were standing next to their car saved themselves by jumping over the guardrail. Like the drunk 60-year-old truck driver, they were unharmed.
The truck driver from Upper Austria was traveling from Unterach am Attersee (Vöcklabruck district) in the direction of Weißenbach. Shortly before the state border with Upper Austria, the truck left the road in a slight right-hand bend for an unknown reason and drove into the adjacent parking lot. The police spoke of a miracle that only two people were slightly injured in the accident. A breathalyser test on the 60-year-old showed 0.5 per mille. All vehicles were totaled.
