The Afghan from the Kirchdorf district took the train from Kirchdorf an der Krems in the direction of Linz. During the journey, the conductor asked him to comply with the mask requirement and to show his ticket. However, the man was extremely aggressive towards the conductor, refused the legal mask requirement and could not show a ticket either. Therefore, he was asked to leave the train at the next station.
However, he disregarded this and threatened the employee that he would hit him if he did not leave. The conductor then called the police. At Kremsmünster train station, the law enforcement officers boarded and referred the 20-year-old to the train. The Afghan also behaved aggressively towards the police officers, according to the police report. After being informed that he would be reported, he informed the officers that he was not interested in Austrian law anyway and therefore did not care about the complaint.
Reboarded
After the end of the official act, the whole thing was repeated: after the police had left, the 20-year-old boarded the next train in the direction of Linz and was again confronted by the next conductor with the obligation to wear the mask and the missing ticket. The man got angry again and threatened the conductor that he would stab him.
At the next train station in Neuhofen an der Krems, two officers were again waiting for him and tried to escort him out of the car. After he refused to get off the train, the police repeatedly announced that he would be arrested. However, this did not make him change his mind, he only became more aggressive. When trying to get the man off the train with physical strength, he kicked his hands and feet and tried to evade arrest. Despite the vigorous resistance with kicks and kicks, the police officers, with the support of the conductor, managed to get hold of the man.
Police officers and conductors injured
He kicked the conductor, a 54-year-old from the Liezen district, in the thigh, causing him minor injuries. The two police officers suffered unspecified injuries as a result of the man’s resistance. When he was questioned by the police, the 20-year-old refused to testify. He was taken to the Linz prison by order of the Linz public prosecutor.
