The brawl between the three men began at 3:20 p.m. in a supermarket branch in Hellmonsödt. A 48-year-old Syrian man and his 19-year-old son met a 37-year-old Syrian friend in the shop. All those involved come from the Urfahr area. In the past, there had already been a physical altercation between the two elders, according to the police.
When they met again, the 37-year-old insulted the 48-year-old and hit him with the palm of his hand. The son wanted to rush to his father’s help and was also hit by the 37-year-old. The two managed to escape the situation, paid for their goods and left the store. The three men met again in the parking lot. The 37-year-old attacked the 48-year-old again.
At the parking lot the altercation continued
After his father’s clothing was damaged, the 19-year-old took a pepper spray out of the vehicle and handed it to his father, who used it against the attacker. He left his father and went back to the branch. According to witness statements, the 48-year-old should have gotten a hammer out of his vehicle and headed towards the branch. However, the man denies this. The summoned police officers found a hammer in the car.
While the 48-year-old and his son, who were temporarily banned from using weapons, remained unharmed, their opponent was taken to the Kepler University Hospital because of the impairment caused by the pepper spray.
