While the SV Ried players are currently on vacation, the club’s officials are planning for the coming season at full speed. Training starts on June 13th, just five days later on Saturday, June 18th in Grieskirchen against Slovan Bratislava at 5:30 p.m. the first test match of the preparation takes place.
On Friday, June 24, at 6 p.m. in Peuerbach, Rieder will duel with the Greek top team Olympiakos Piraeus, the reigning Greek champions. Piraeus have won the Greek championship 47 times in the club’s history, and the club from the capital Athens has won the cup 28 times.
Training camp in Windischgarsten
From June 27th to July 1st, the Rieders will complete the already traditional summer training camp in Windischgarsten. A build-up game against 1860 Munich will take place there on Friday, July 1 at 5 p.m. The traditional German club also has many supporters in Upper Austria. As part of the official “kick-off party” on Friday, July 8, SV Ried meets Hungarian club Ujpest Budapest at 6 p.m. in the Josko Arena.
The season starts a week later in the ÖFB Cup. The first round of the Bundesliga takes place on the weekend of July 22-24. The 2022/2023 season has not yet been drawn.
