Rapid’s sports director Zoran Barisic had made the 29-year-old “from our point of view an absolute top offer for a contract extension” – but the Montenegrin team player decided on LASK. The right-back signed with the Athletics until 2025.

Reunion with Kühbauer and Jovicic
Coach Dietmar Kühbauer knows his approach very well: he set it up 79 times at Rapid. “I got to know Filip as a real team player who knows exactly what he has to do on the pitch. He will do the team good,” said Kühbauer.
Stojkovic has not only worked with him: for two years he played with Branko Jovicic at Red Star Belgrade. “Together we were in the Champions League group stage. I’m very happy that I can now be back on the pitch with him.”
