Further bank mergers in the Innviertel

The merger was accepted by a majority of the co-owners at the general meetings of the three banks a few days ago, as the Raiba Region Ried announced in a broadcast. This “set the course for a successful future together”. The Raiffeisenbank Region Ried thus has twelve branches and is one of the largest regional banks in the state.

The future bank offices in Lohnsburg and Waldzell will remain “unchanged with all functions, employees and the necessary skills”, it said. However, the two managing directors – Johann Mayer (Lohnsburg) and Martin Hargassner (Waldzell) – will retire later this year. The technical fusion is to take place in September of this year.

The IBAN will change

A change is already imminent for the customers of the banks in Lohnsburg and Waldzell: the IBAN will change for the customers of these two bank branches, the changeover will be carried out by the customer advisors of the new Raiffeisenbank, according to the information from the regional bank.

“We are looking forward to the new Raiffeisenbank Region Ried. With this step we are increasing efficiency and performance,” say the two board members Dagmar Inzinger-Dorfer and Joachim Knoglinger. With total assets of around EUR 1.1 billion, the new regional bank will look after a business volume of EUR 2.2 billion.
