According to initial investigations, the service pistol of the police aspirant may have jammed. When the 22-year-old wanted to store the gun in the holster, a shot suddenly went off. The projectile penetrated the woman’s left thigh, where it lodged.
Two trainers immediately provided first aid and informed the rescue services. After the first aid, the police student was flown to the Wels clinic with the “Christophorus 10” rescue helicopter, the police said in the afternoon.
