The Pichler SP, the mayor’s party since 2021, complains about gross and sometimes long-standing omissions in the administration. “It is unimaginable how much work that has been left behind in recent years has to be made up for,” emphasizes SP Chairwoman Malina Hickl: “We are talking about energy supply contracts that were not signed, which meant that we had no contract for 1.5 years . Of building authority matters, which, due to the lack of political responsibility in the past, have assumed too great an extent for them to be dealt with by one person alone.” Therefore, the intention is to get reinforcements and create a new position. “You can’t catch up on everything overnight. It takes time, staff and perseverance,” said SP Mayor Franz Scheiböck.
VP party leader Verena Strasser assesses the situation far less drastically, at the same time she welcomes the increase in personnel.
