Kristler and Lebler in permanent (ticket) use

Kristler and Lebler in permanent (ticket) use

Although the ice in the Linz AG ice arena has long since melted, you can find Brian Lebler, Andreas Kristler and many other cracks from the Black Wings in the dressing room almost every day. The reason for this is the large number of appointments that the cracks attend in the summer. On Tuesday, for example, Puls24 asked for an interview to be recorded with the Linz captain and neo-trainer and sports director Philipp Lukas. On Thursday evening, fans could have their season ticket for the coming season personally handed over to them by Lebler and Kristler at the counter. Short small talks, selfies and autographs included, of course.

Twice on Saturday for a good cause

On Saturday at the latest, however, the sporting activity is in the foreground again. From 9 a.m. there will be a charity tennis tournament on the ÖTB TV Urfahr facility – where Black Wings President Peter Nader is chairman. One of the participants is Andreas Kristler, who is drawn to a partner for the doubles tournament. The forward won’t be the only crack Black Wings player to play for a good cause.

In the afternoon, the ice hackers continue to Puchenau, where a Pentecost football tournament is on the program in memory of the former Black Wings team doctor Werner Kleschpis. According to rumours, the Stahlstadt team (five field players and one goalkeeper are played) should be of high quality. For example, Rafael Rotter, Daniel Oberkofler or David Kickert should travel to Puchenau for the tournament, provided they get the go-ahead. Lebler will appear as a libero, Kristler should – as on the ice – storm over the wings.

New fan handler installed

In order to strengthen the connection to the fans, the Black Wings appointed Daniel Wolkerstorfer as fan coordinator this week. The 37-year-old should act as a kind of interface between the club and fan clubs, but also as individual supporters. The father of three has been a Black Wings supporter for about 25 years, is known indoors as a drummer and acted as a photographer with the Steel Wings in the preseason. The hospital logistician runs the office of fan supervisor on a voluntary basis.

“We are very happy to have found a central contact for all our fans and those who want to become one. It is extremely important to us as a club to be in constant contact with our fans. I’m really looking forward to the exchange and cooperation,” Black Wings President Nader is quoted as saying on the website. Daniel Wolkerstorfer: “I’m really looking forward to my new job and I’m proud to be able to volunteer with the Black Wings. The concerns of each individual, whether fan club member, long-time fan or ice hockey newcomer, are equally important to me and I will try to provide the best possible help to everyone.”
