With 3.1 per thousand alcohol in the blood, a 51-year-old sat behind the wheel of her car early Thursday evening. The drunk German, who lives in the Kirchdorf an der Krems district, clearly had problems staying in lane when driving on the Pyhrnautobahn and crossed the middle line several times on her way through the Klaus tunnel chain.
After several dangerous situations had arisen, a witness sounded the alarm. Officers from the Klaus motorway police took up the pursuit and stopped the woman at the St. Pankraz exit. She was asked to take a breathalyzer test and has now lost her driver’s license for the time being.
Mühlviertler briefly arrested
The driver of a small truck was obviously under the influence of alcohol when he touched a parked car at a gas station in the city of Freistadt on Thursday afternoon. While the 52-year-old went shopping in the gas station shop, the injured party called the police.
The drunk man behaved uncooperatively and aggressively towards the officers. He was arrested and released a little later. He refused an alcohol test and was forbidden to continue driving, the police said on Friday afternoon.
