Fled with a powerful car
In the past, the accused fled from the police several times in a high-horsepower car. When he tried to stop him, he almost hit the officers. You were able to save yourself at the last second by jumping to the side.
The 33-year-old kept changing his whereabouts and went into hiding in Romania in January 2022. At the beginning of May 2022 he returned to Austria. As part of extensive target search measures, his hiding place could then be explored.
Large-scale operation in the Amstetten district
Access was on Friday. Around noon, the wanted person was located in Ennsdorf in the Amstetten district. When he saw the police officers, he fled into a workshop building and locked it from the inside. The door was forcibly opened by the executive. But there was no trace of the man at first.
With the support of other police patrols, police officers from the Lower Austria Rapid Intervention Group and the Linz Police Service Dog Inspection, the man from Linz was tracked down in a covered assembly pit and then arrested. He was taken to the Linz prison by order of the responsible judge, the police said in the evening.
