A 57-year-old from Haid came to the police in Neuhofen on Whit Monday at around 11.45 a.m. with a bleeding wound over his eye. Because of neighborhood disputes, there was a fight between him and a 54-year-old from Neuhofen. As a result, dangerous threats were repeatedly made against the other family by members of the two feuding families in the center of Neuhofen and also in the police station.
The 35-year-old son (he lives in Neuhofen) of the 57-year-old and the 54-year-old threatened to kill each other several times. The 35-year-old made a dangerous threat to the 54-year-old’s sons using an iron bar and previously injured a 19-year-old paramedic.
After the suspects were questioned at the post, the situation escalated again. A meeting of those involved could only be prevented by using massive physical strength. The 35-year-old was then arrested. After consultation with the Linz public prosecutor’s office, he was taken to the Linz prison. The 57-year-old was admitted to the UKH Linz.
