The United States will eliminate single-use plastics on public lands by 2032

Oceana and another 300 organizations and companies requested the action in a letter sent last year to the US government. The announced measure covers the 423 national parks as well as the wildlife refuges and other lands and waters managed by the Department of the Interior. Total, 20% of the land in the United Stateswhich receive about 400 million visitors a year.
