Fake iphones offered: Linzer found out

At the end of May, a 65-year-old discovered the tempting offer on an online platform: a new, unused and still in the original packaging iPhone 13 Pro Max for 770 euros, which a young man wanted to sell. The 25-year-old even drove to the buyer to bring him the device. But later, when trying to activate the smartphone, the 65-year-old noticed that it was a fake.

The man lodged a complaint and the police began investigating. The young man recently offered another iPhone for sale online. An investigator contacted him and pretended to go into the deal. The goods and the purchase price were to be handed over in a parking lot in Engerwitzdorf. But when the undercover agent identified himself as a police officer, the suspect fled, but was arrested and slightly injured. The 25-year-old did not make a confession. He was reported at large.
