The municipality of Freistadt has now made up for the canceled New Year’s reception with a summer reception in the Salzhof. Mayor Christian Gratzl (SP) emphasized the importance of cooperation and cooperation for Freistadt’s prosperous development.
This togetherness was then also practiced when honoring deserving community citizens. At the heart of the numerous awards were Fritz Fellner and Rudi Wizani, two originals from Freistadt. Fritz Fellner was custodian and director of the Mühlviertler Schlossmuseum Freistadt for 21 years. Together with his team he realized 110 special exhibitions. It is largely thanks to him that digitization found its way into the museum and that cooperation with Czech institutions was promoted.
Rudi Wizani is an integral part of public life in Freistadt – be it in the church, as a volunteer and functionary in the castle museum or as a tireless and always ready night watchman and city guide.
Reinhard Atteneder and Eduard Anger received the city council ring of honor for their many years of service on the city council. The city seal was presented by Mayor Gratzl, Vice Mayor. Christian Hennerbichler and Deputy Mayor Sonja Seifried to Maria Kafka, Helmut Pühringer, Johann Haunschmid, Gerald Kinz, Johann Moser and Reinhard Koller for many years of political work in the municipal council.
