35 patients in intensive care

In the past 24 hours, 56,975 rapid PCR and antigen tests were reported, of which 50,888 were PCR tests with a strikingly high positive rate of 8.1 percent. On average, 4.9 percent of the PCR tests in the past week were positive. All in all, there are now 243,134,319 corona tests carried out.
662 new cases in Upper Austria
Vienna recorded 1,309 new confirmed corona cases, 883 in Lower Austria and 662 in Upper Austria. 348 new infections were reported from Styria, 290 from Salzburg, 202 from Vorarlberg, 196 from Tyrol, 149 from Carinthia and 108 from Burgenland.
3,837 vaccinations were carried out across Austria on Friday, including 190 first bites. According to the data from the e-vaccination card, a total of 6,829,856 people received at least one vaccination. 5,722,024 people and thus 63.7 percent of the people in Austria have valid vaccination protection.
