The large-scale focus campaign dealt with illegal tuning, noise and speeding. During the technical inspection (by experts from the state) of 14 suspect vehicles, five defects with imminent danger were found. The license plates of these vehicles were removed immediately. In total, the emergency services reported 32 reports of technical defects.
153 km/h instead of the permitted 100 km/h
In addition, the police carried out speed checks on 2,150 vehicles. Of these, 218 drivers exceeded the permitted maximum speed, with the maximum value being 153 km/h at the permitted 100 km/h. A driver was driving without a driving license, but was drunk and under the influence of narcotics. Three other drivers were driving under the influence of alcohol and one under the influence of drugs. The drug drivers were brought before a medical officer and found to be unfit to drive. Their blood and driver’s license were taken from them.
The penalty referees from the Grieskirchen district authority who were present issued penalty notices in the amount of €5,250.
