In the autumn holidays in the Elbphilharmonie

We had to do without it for a long time. The hunger for art, culture and travel – the OÖ Nachrichten and Moser Reisen can satisfy it. Due to the enormous demand, the 2,100-seat Great Hall of the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie, which is not only a place to be heard, but also a place to be seen, was rented for an exclusive concert. The architecturally unique, spectacular concert hall has blossomed into a guest magnet and urban landmark of Hamburg since it opened five years ago.

OÖN and Moser Reisen have engaged the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra for a matinee concert on Monday, October 31, 2022. Among other things, Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor K. 466 and Mozart’s Prague Symphony in D major K. 504 will be played.

The flight can be booked as a four-day variant from Linz, Salzburg, Graz, Vienna or Munich. There are three dates to choose from: October 28 to 31 (Fri-Mon), October 29 to November 1 (Sat-Tue) and October 30 to November 2 (Sun-Wed). The train journey is dated October 29th to November 1st. The bus trip is offered over four days (October 29 to November 1) and five days (October 28 to November 1) – with the first night in Dresden and city tours in Dresden and Leipzig.

An all-round package

In addition to the outward and return journey, the package includes overnight stays with breakfast, a three-hour city tour through Hamburg with a specialist tour guide, transfers, a commented harbor tour, the exclusive concert in the Elbphilharmonie, Moser assistance at airports and train stations and travel organization in Hamburg.

The four-day trip costs – depending on the hotel and ticket category – with a flight from Munich from 1059 euros (transfer option from Upper Austria for 59 euros), from Linz from 1559 euros, from Salzburg from 1269 euros, from Graz from 1359 euros, from Vienna from 1199 euros euros, by train (from Vienna, St. Pölten, Linz, Passau) from 1039 euros or by bus from 769 euros.

There will be enough time around the concert to marvel at the “Elphi”, as the people of Hamburg affectionately call the 866 million euro building, inside and out. The plaza, the viewing terrace, slides like a notch between the old brick storage plinth and the stunning structure. 37 meters above the water level you can enjoy a panorama that extends from the foothills of the Hafencity to the port, the Landungsbrücken and the church tower of the Michel to the Speicherstadt. And of course St. Pauli at night and the fish market in the morning should not be missing.
