Lebenshilfe swimmers collect precious metal

They came home with a silver medal each for their relay success and were able to claim three more silver medals and two bronze medals in individual events.

The swimming team around the Lebenshilfe-Werkstätte Vöcklamarkt has existed for 22 years and can already point to countless medals. Now Victoria Weiß, Andreas Hackl, Jessica Piber and Selina Nöhammer traveled with their trainer Lioba Zimansky to the Special Olympics Summer Games in Malta. Andreas Hackl from Frankenmarkt won silver in the 100 m freestyle, Victoria Weiß from Vöcklamarkt won silver in the 25 m breaststroke. Jessica Piber from Gmunden swam bronze in the 50 m backstroke and 50 m freestyle. The Frankenmarkterin Selina Nöhammer returned home with silver over 50 m backstroke. As a relay, they swam in second place, earning all four athletes another silver medal.
