The AST taxis are on the road every day from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., they wait for orders at one of the more than 300 marked AST departure points. The principle behind it: Several passengers are taken on each trip, and the route is determined based on the different destinations. Founded in the late 1980s, the AST taxis are on the road in Linz and now in eleven surrounding communities.
The fact that Puchenau is one more is not only a pleasure for Linz-AG board director Jutta Rinner, but also for the mayor of Puchenau, Friedrich Geyrhofer (VP). With the shared taxi, an offer can now also be made at times when there is no other public transport between Linz and Puchenau. A test period of 12 months was decided by the municipal council.
