The aerial jumps of the TV Steyr trampoline artists are increasingly ending up on the international podium. Finn Markovsky jumped such a good preliminary at the Aere Trampoline Cup in Rimini that he catapulted himself out of the field of participants in the main competition to third place: an unbelievable success for Benjamin of the Austrian squad, who because of his young age had not yet attended the European Championships that were held at the same time was allowed to participate.
Amelie Wansch was also capable of a top place in the individual, but a mistake in her freestyle cost the jury deducting points, which is why the excellent performance was only rewarded with a place in the middle. Wansch didn’t let the competition get spoiled, even though with a bit more luck in the synchronous competition with partner Jenny Lechthaler (TGU Salzburg), even more would have been possible than the thankless fourth place. Wansch learned how she stands in the highest performance class from her participation in the European Championships. Two very stable exercises brought a midfield place.
