Norbert Danecker was 67 years old. He was well known to many young and now also grown-up people in the Braunau district: Norbert Danecker was a street worker for 25 years. He only retired at the age of 63. He was always accepted in the scene, he understood the language of youth even at the age of 60. The grief for the popular educator is correspondingly great – many express their grief on social media. “He was a person with a heart so big that it could embrace the whole world! He was a friend, father and grandfather for many young people over generations in Braunau,” writes a former colleague, for example.
He was interested in the young people, tried to take them seriously with their language, their music, their culture, he said in an OÖN conversation, read here. That certainly kept him young, mentally, unfortunately not physically. he passed away on June 9th.
Personal farewell is possible until Wednesday, June 15, 7 p.m. in the funeral parlor at Braunau Cemetery. The funeral service will take place in a private setting.
