GEINBERG. “Therme Geinberg would like to bring more top teams to the Innviertel”, headlined the OÖN in October 2018. Around three and a half years later, the sports field in Geinberg in the immediate vicinity of the thermal baths was completely renovated. Two football pitches, a modern clubhouse and a fun court were created. The long-awaited project was implemented with the support of the municipality of Geinberg, the state of Upper Austria and the s’Innviertel tourism association. At the start of training for the Rieder footballers in Geinberg, the turf was not in the best condition on Monday, but that should change quickly, because next week the Greek record champions Olympiacos Piraeus will be traveling to Geinberg as part of the pre-season. Puskas (Hungary) and two clubs from the United Arab Emirates are also coming to Therme Geinberg this summer.

Erlinger described SV Ried as “an important advertising medium for the region throughout Austria”.
