Witnesses reported to the Windischgarsten police on Friday before 5 p.m. that a 14-year-old girl was driving a car in the Windischgarsten area. The vehicle was then stopped on the site of the Windischgarsten train station, on the platform ramp. When the car was stopped, a 16-year-old from the Kirchdorf district was behind the wheel, and the 14-year-old, also from the Kirchdorf district, was in the passenger seat. Also in the back seat was a 15-year-old boy whom the duo had picked up. The two girls drove the car without the knowledge or consent of the 16-year-old’s absent parents.
The 14-year-old made the kilometer-long drive through the town of Windischgarsten because, according to her own statements, she was the better driver. The friends are now expecting criminal or administrative charges.
