The United States banned a major brand of e-cigarettes

For now, The FDA found no evidence that e-cigarettes pose an immediate health threat.

“The FDA is tasked with ensuring that tobacco products sold in this country meet the standard set by law, but the onus of proving that a product meets those standards ultimately rests on the shoulders of the company,” declared michele mitalacting director of the FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products, in a statement.

The entity qualifies electronic cigarettes as “tobacco products” since, although many of them do not have tobacco, there are some that do have nicotine.

This is the case of all Juul brand products and, in fact, in the United States the term “Juuling” became popular to refer to the use of these cigarettes.

These devices come in all shapes and sizes, but the most widely sold in the country resemble USB drives and can be recharged on a computer.

They are so small that they can be hidden in the palm of your hand and are difficult to detect because they emit very little vapor or odor.

According to the American Cancer Society, children and adolescents are frequently seen using them in school bathrooms and even in the classroom.
