Friday evening is the premiere of “Trassenmusik”, which promises music enjoyment for all tastes and the whole family. 14 groups play at eleven music stations along the new barrier-free cycle and footpath “Haager Lies Reloaded”. More than 50 musicians will create the three-hour program, which begins at 7 p.m.: saxophonists, drummers, alphorn and melodic wind players, blues, rock and folk musicians. Hang singing bowls are also played. Visitors can cycle from station to station or take a leisurely stroll along the approximately eleven-kilometer section between Haag and the former Gaspoltshofen station.
Gaspoltshofen native Hans Schörkhuber and Gallspacher Franz Kronegger came up with the idea for this special music event, and the organizer is the Spielraum Gaspoltshofen. Admission to the event is free, “but the musicians will certainly be happy to receive hat money as recognition,” says Hans Schörkhuber. The creative pensioner and tree trunk artist has also created several rest areas and wooden sculptures along the new cycle path. Schörkhuber has another new idea. He wants to recreate Stonehenge, the world’s most famous stone circle in England, using logs.
Half marathon on August 28th
The next event on the Hague-Lies route is already planned. The running club “Neukirchen runs” is organizing a half marathon on Sunday, August 28th. The route, with its around 21 kilometers in length and only slight inclines, is predestined for a running event. (krai)
