For three young people from the Steyr transgender community, the “Linz Pride” on Saturday evening came to an ugly end. Towards the end of the peaceful parade, they were beaten up by several perpetrators, after which the young men fled in the direction of Mozartstrasse and Hauptplatz.
Until Wednesday there was no trace of them, now the police were able to report investigation successes: After several tips from witnesses, police investigators were able to investigate two 17-year-olds and a 15-year-old who are said to have committed the crime.
They are currently at large and will be interrogated promptly, police said. The exact motives of the perpetrators are still unclear. The three victims had to seek medical treatment after the attack due to the injuries they sustained. The victims and several witnesses will soon be questioned by the police.
