The meeting had two moments: the first a meeting a gate closed for 30 minutes between Gustavo Petro and Álvaro Uribe, and then an extended discussion with several of their companions, in a lawyer’s office in Bogotá.
The director of the right-wing party attended the meeting together with Uribe Center Democratic, Nubia Stella Martinez; Senator Ciro Ramírez; and the former presidential candidate of that same force, Alirio Barrera, among others.
Petro was accompanied by his head of debate during the presidential campaign, Alfonso Prada, according to the press office of the incoming president of Colombia.
The president-elect proposed to Uribe, on the day of acceptance of the victory, a meeting, despite the distance ideological between two and the years of accusations, accusations and offenses in which they have been braided in public settings such as Congress.
Gustavo Petro has proposed to Álvaro Uribe, to sectors that will be in opposition to his government and to his partners, as well as to industrialists and civil society, a great national dialogue around peace.
