There is sad news in the case of the motorcyclist who had an accident almost two weeks ago in the municipality of Moosdorf (Braunau district): The 65-year-old German died on Thursday in the Regensburg University Hospital, the police said on Friday. For twelve days, the intensive care physicians in the LKH Salzburg and in Regensburg had fought for the life of the seriously injured biker – in vain.
As reported, the 65-year-old had touched the sidewalk edge on June 18 while driving on the B156 and had fallen. Following road users showed civil courage and provided first aid. The German was resuscitated and taken to the Salzburg Regional Hospital by rescue helicopter. He was later transferred to the university clinic in Regensburg, where the doctors now lost the fight for his life.
