What is the vacancy rate in municipal real estate? What are the costs of lost rental income? What is the status of the negotiations? A question submitted by FP parliamentary group leader Wolfgang Grabmayr in May to the city councilor Dietmar Prammer (SP), who is responsible for city properties, revolved around questions like these. The answer came at Thursday’s council meeting.
Topic here: the problem children “Bergschlössl” (vacant since mid-2021) and “Oberwirt” in St. Magdalena (closed since the end of 2020). According to Prammer, the lost rental costs for the first amount to 95,000 euros per year and for the second to 72,000 euros per year. Lease negotiations are currently being held for the Oberwirt, it said. The FP point of view: “Vacancies cause costs instead of urgently needed income.” There is a need for action.
