During speed checks yesterday Monday evening on the B1 in the city of Wels, two drivers with their cars massively exceeded the maximum speed of 50 km/h permitted there.
The police officers noticed two taxi vehicles driving side by side towards the city center at what appeared to be excessive speeds. The measurement with the laser pistol showed that one of the two, a 30-year-old Turk from Wels, was 119 km/h and the other, a 29-year-old Austrian from Wels, 101 km/h.
Both taxi drivers did not carry any commercial passengers, but when the 30-year-old was stopped, the police noticed that two children, one and a half and seven years old, were unsecured in the back seat. The two handlebars are displayed.
