When driving on the A1 in the direction of Linz, a car caught fire near Eggendorf near Allhaming (Linz-Land district). The driver managed to park his vehicle on the hard shoulder. When the emergency services of the Allhaming and Pucking-Hasenufer fire brigades arrived, the car was already on fire. Using respiratory protection, the flames were quickly extinguished, but the car burned out completely. In the area of the accident, there were traffic delays, a kilometer-long traffic jam formed.
