Rescue services said the number of missing climbers rose to 20 after part of a glacier collapsed in Marmolada, in the Italian Alps, on Sunday, killing six people and injuring nine. New images show the exact moment of the crash.
The search will continue this Monday, and during the night authorities used unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) equipped with night vision cameras to try to find people who are still missing.
Weather conditions are critical to the continued direct intervention of rescue teams in the field because cold and low temperatures are necessary for minimal safety as other squads may emerge.
