Hofwirt St. Martin: One of the oldest inns

With several themed evenings, the restaurateur wants to offer a variety of culinary delights and cosiness in the partly newly designed guest garden in the coming weeks. It starts with an Italian night on July 8th.

“We see ourselves as a down-to-earth inn with class,” says Johann Salzberger, who cooks with his partner at the stove. He mainly uses local products: “We offer traditional Austrian cuisine with local, regional products – we want everything to go together. And the food is cooked with passion,” says the innkeeper, adding: “We offer our dishes at moderate prices, which is – admittedly – not always easy!”

The innkeeper is also looking for staff

Hofwirt Johann Salzberger is also currently looking for staff: “You need someone who is passionate about what he does, who is willing to serve and for whom the guest is the most important thing,” he says. The Hofwirtshaus is open daily, but is closed on Saturday mornings and Sunday evenings.

Johann Salzberger is hoping for a new impetus with the themed evenings. These free evening events also include music and dancing. The Italian night on July 8th is followed on July 17th, from 10 a.m., by a Weißwurst morning pint with the Obernberger Musikkapelle Stage (with music by the Badrock Blues Band). “We have a very well-integrated Croatian community here in the community,” the restaurateur explains why this theme evening came about. What he appreciates about St. Martin: “The intact village community, the many regular guests and regulars’ tables and club members who still go to the innkeeper and not just to the clubhouse.”
