She was born as Gerda Beck on the first day of 1942 in Moravian Schönberg (Czech Republic) and grew up in Sierning. At the age of 28, together with her sister, she founded the fashion boutique Eliette in Linz. Renate Neuhofer is her identical twin. There is not much that differentiates the two: Hobbies, self-employment, place of residence – everything is the same. Even with regard to their partners, the twins hardly differ: both were married twice, the men even had the same zodiac sign. Speaking of partnerships: for 35 years, the mother of a son has been a committed single woman. “I love my freedom and couldn’t live with anyone,” she assured OÖN Women’s Day and also spoke casually about age (“80 is just a number”), about men (“The shop is closed forever”) and also betrayed one of her beauty secrets (“a little botox is part of it”).
In Rome, the Capricorn woman began to study astrology intensively. She lived with her second husband in the Eternal City for six years. Today, in addition to a practice in Baden, she also regularly conducts astrological counseling on Hafnerstrasse in Linz. Their radio show “Treffpunkt Sternstunden” recently celebrated their 30th anniversary. Every Sunday evening between 10 p.m. and midnight, her unmistakable voice echoes through the ether when she reveals to callers what Saturn, Mars and Venus have in store for them in terms of jobs, financial matters and, above all, love matters, because: The “future is in the stars”, Rogers is quite sure of that.
When describing Gerda Rogers, her curiosity about new things should not go unmentioned. She gave her voice to an alien mom in an animated film, swung her leg on “Dancing Stars”, and wrote six books, including her autobiography “My Life with the Stars”.
