It can happen so quickly and suddenly you have moved without ever having packed moving boxes. A woman from Linz could hardly believe her eyes today when she took a look at a newly installed street sign on her street. Because suddenly she was no longer at home in Holzörtlweg but in Hörmannstrasse.
The background, however, is not a street renaming, but simply a mix-up, as stated by OÖN from the Linz magistrate at the request of the OÖN. An employee accidentally picked up the wrong street sign yesterday, both Holzörtlweg and Hörmannstraße are to be re-signposted. The error is to be corrected today and the correct sign installed, according to the announcement.
Incidentally, the Holzörtlweg can be found in Urfahr, the Hörmannstraße on the Froschberg.
