ÖFB goalie Pentz received a three-year contract at Stade Reims

Pentz recently played two of four Nations League games under neo-soccer team boss Ralf Rangnick, and he was also in action in the 1-1 home draw against France. His strong performance in this game should have favored the transfer. Reims wrote on the club’s website that Pentz showed “feline reflexes” against Karim Benzema and Co. Sporting director Pol-Edouard Caillot raved about the 25-year-old: “He’s a young goalie with great ability and great potential for further improvement.”

Reims start the league on August 7 with an away game against Olympique Marseille. For Pentz’ further ÖFB team career, it would be of great importance to have conquered the Einserleiberl by then. After the most recent course, Rangnick pointed out that he considers regular match practice to be very important, especially for goalkeepers.
